Don't Miss This Place - Brilliant Stay in Ocean Falls, BC - Episode 12 - Tease 4 Two

The rewards of slowing down continue. We just spent 5 nights here at Ocean Falls, BC. The inhabitants of this small village welcomed us with open arms and made leaving very difficult. This settlement is packed full of history and had both a prosperous and tumultuous past. BUT, Ocean Falls is making a comeback. And rightly so. What a gem of a place, nestled in the remote wilderness of BC, its backbone is the hydrodam coupled with a tight knit, determined, hopeful and enthusiastic community.
Despite the challenges of the weather elements here (approx 170 inches of rain per year (Seattle by comparison gets 37), the people here are restoring what they can of an era long past. We can't wait to return here some day to see the progress made. Thank you to everyone who made us feel welcome, for the Canada Day BBQ, and for restoring faith in humanity. Love to you all.
