Here's my notes on using a low-opacity brush to build 3D-shapes without the need of a sketch. This way you get to quickly define any overlapping, foreshortened masses, change angles of bigger surfaces without losing any detail. It feels great to try different shapes without risking to lose anything underneath the new brush strokes!
