Bikepacking in Switzerland: Tour De Röstigraben - The Rhythm Of The Road

Описание к видео Bikepacking in Switzerland: Tour De Röstigraben - The Rhythm Of The Road

Mont Chasseral, Lac Leman, Vallée de Joux: Just some of the highlights I`ve encountered on this four day bikepacking trip. Tour De….?!? For those of you who are not yet familiar with Switzerland`s geography (and culture): The country can be split up in regions refered to four different languages (German, Italian, French and Romansh). The boundary of the German and the French speaking part is sometimes called “Röstigraben”. This rather funny term (“Rösti” is also the name of a swiss potato dish) is used because this boundary also stands for the cultural differences of those two regions and that`s something people sometimes like to make fun of.

Thinking of Switzerland as a cyclist, sounding names of big mountain passes like Grimsel, Susten or Gotthard come to one`s mind. Not primarly the rather rural landscape of the French speaking part of Switzerland. With this video I`d like to show the beauty and versatility this region has to offer for cyclists, not to mention the athletic challenges: climbing Mont Chasseral from La Neuveville with bikepacking equipment isn`t necessarily a café ride…
