"The Still and the Lifeless" Art Triptych by Robyn Bellospirito

Recently unpacked "The Still and the Lifeless", oil on wood triptych I put together and painted in 1994. That year I entered it into a juried still life art show at the Islip Art Museum in Islip, NY and it was selected for the show. I wanted to challenge the idea of "still life", thus the obligatory vase of flowers on a table next to the curtain of bodies lol. The piece even got a nice mention in a review of the show in a newspaper. It's been wrapped up for many years. I'll be including it in my show at The Gallery @ in Huntington, NY in January and February, 2023. Cameo by my adorable kitty Gracie.
Music is by Lush, "Sweetness and Light" - a band that has inspired me to create a lot of art, especially at the time I did this work.
