He is an Assistant Professor in Business Analytics at the University of Bahrain, boasting a diverse and impactful academic journey that began in 2005. His academic career has seen him in roles from Lecturer to Assistant Professor across various universities in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Bahrain. Specializing in emerging technologies such as AI, cybersecurity, and digital business, he earned his PhD in Computer Sciences with a focus on information security management from University Technology Malaysia in 2013. A member of IEEE since 2014, he holds certifications from Microsoft and CISCO Systems and was a silver medalist at the Malaysia Innovation Expo 2012.

His research interests are broad, encompassing Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Techno-Entrepreneurship, and Technological Freelancing, among others. With over 70 research articles published in esteemed conferences and ISI-SCI indexed journals, he has also served as a reviewer and editor for various international conferences and journals. As a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI), he has led five funded research projects worth millions of dollars, alongside his colleagues. His expertise is further recognized through his certification as a Trainer of Trainers for the Web of Science (WoS) by Clarivate Analytics and holding two US Patents focused on the commercialization of biometric data/templates security and natural language processing.

As an entrepreneur, he is the founder and co-founder of two startups in the US and Middle East. He is a sought-after speaker, having delivered over 20 national and international invited talks at various universities. His roles have extended beyond academia, serving as head of college research unit, quality assurance, and curriculum committees at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Saudi Arabia.
