I am painting a large seascape inspired by my visit to Porthmeor Beach in St Ives, Cirnwallt

This video shows me building up paint on the rocks with oil paint straight from the tube.
I want the rocks set back further and allow the sea to wash around as the tide comes in.

This is a large 80cm x 80cm painting started two days previously. There were some problems with the composition - placement of the rocks and waves and how I might change this to reflect the depth and feel of the finished painting.

My inspiration comes from the Cornish Coastline, and I have some photos on my I Pad to remind me of my experience whilst in St Ives in October
