Retired Special Forces Officer on Leading the Epic 'Pineapple Express' Evacuation of Kabul

Scott Mann spent his twenty-three year Army Special Forces Career involved in Foreign Internal Defense, Counter-insurgency, and Stability Missions all over the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan.

It was in Afghanistan, serving as a Green Beret, where Mann helped implement the Special Forces Village Stability Operations. These operations allowed him to forge critical relationships with the Afghan people, who in turn helped aid the U.S. in routing out the Taliban.

In 2021, when the Taliban began retaking Afghanistan, Mann organized an ad hoc collection of people to use all resources necessary to help evacuate their Afghan allies. The group became known as 'Task Force Pineapple' and was mainly comprised of retired U.S. Special Forces veterans.

The clandestine operations continue to this day and have helped save the lives of countless vulnerable Afghan allies and their families.
