Please Note 2 M8 Hex heads also need removing from the stereo and
air control panel housing unit, to remove it.

Tools and Materials Needed
New Android head unit compatible with BMW E90
Trim removal tools
Screwdrivers (Phillips and flat-head)
Wiring harness adapter (if not included with the new head unit)
Optional: Backup camera, USB extension cable, and other accessories

2. Remove the Old Head Unit
Remove the Trim: Use trim removal tools to carefully remove the dashboard trim around the air control unit.
Unscrew the Head Unit: Locate and remove the screws securing the head unit in place.
Disconnect Wiring: Carefully pull out the old head unit and disconnect all wiring harnesses.
3. Install the New Android Head Unit
Connect Wiring Harness: Connect the wiring harness adapter to the car’s wiring. Match the colors and pin configurations. The adapter ensures compatibility between the car’s original wiring and the new head unit.
Mount the GPS Antenna: Find an appropriate location to mount the GPS antenna, usually on the dashboard or under the windshield for optimal signal reception. Route the antenna cable to the head unit location.
Plug in Cables: Connect the GPS antenna, USB cables, and any other accessories (like a backup camera) to the new head unit.
Install the New Head Unit: Carefully insert the new Android head unit into the dashboard, ensuring all cables are properly connected and not pinched. Secure it with screws if necessary.
