Newport is a town on the Isle of Wight. An island off the south coast of England. Located slightly north of the centre, it is the principal town with public transport links to most of the island. Southern Vectis is the main bus operator on the Isle of Wight. The Newport bus station is on Orchard Street in the town centre. It is owned by the bus company and consists of five bus stands. At the time of filming Southern Vectis have a Yutong U11DD zero-emission electric bus on trial from Pelican Bus and Coach, the UK distributor of the Chinese manufactured vehicles.
