Falling for a covert narcissist can make you feel like you're going crazy. Their affection seems so real, so how could it be abusive? But what feels like love is really just manipulation. Narcissists are masters of control and will make you dependent on their validation.

You did nothing to deserve this treatment. The problem lies with them, not you. Don't blame yourself for being fooled - narcissists can be incredibly charming and convincing when they want to be.

The pain you feel now won't last forever. With time and space from your abuser, your clarity will return. You'll regain your self-worth and be able to spot the red flags you missed before.

Better days are coming. You'll heal and find someone who truly cherishes you. Until then, be gentle with yourself. And remember - the only person you need validation from is yourself.
