It is always surprising to see art pieces in which the fall of the fabrics on the bodies is represented with mastery. This is one of them, the work of the well-known Raffaelle Monti.
It was one of the 3 most seen works at the London International Exhibition of 1862, which brought together various technological advances and art pieces from 36 different countries during several months of that year.
It was created as an allegory of the political and artistic reunification of the Italian kingdom, a resurgence that Monti tries to capture and announce through a beautiful piece.

We could not insist more that you go to the V&A museum in London to see such a delicate and precious sculpture.
