This homemade vegetable samosa recipe is both simple and delicious and works out at only 15p per samosa. Here I will show you how to make samosas from scratch. This easy to follow vegetable samosa recipe is great for a tasty and spicy snack.

Ingredients.

250g / 9 oz plain flour 0.13p
60ml Veg oil 0.10p
60ml water 0.00

I Onion 0.09p
200g / 7oz potato 0.16p
⅓ tin of peas 0.16p
1 carrot 0.05p
1 Tbsp veg oil 0.03p
3 tsp curry powder 0.18p

Total cost 0.90

6 samosas at 0.15p each.


Pastry.
Combine the flour and oil and bring to a breadcrumb.
Add the water slowly until you have a smooth soft dough.

Filling.
Chop the ven into small cubes.
Soften the carrot and potato in boiling water then add the peas.
Add some oil to a pan and over a low heat, add the curry powder and heat for 1 minute.
Add the onion and fry lightly until softened.

When all of the veg has softened combine it all together and mix to coat it all in the spices.

Make the pastry cases and fill with the filling.

Deep fry, turning regularly until golden brown.
