It is a huge megalithic acropolis on a hill with polygonal and cyclopean walls surrounding it. It has some of the largest megaliths in Italy and although is officially said to have been built by the Romans, its astronomy, geometry and style suggest it may be much older and could have been constructed by a legendary race of giants called the Pelasgians. It has stunning 3D relief carvings and intricate stonework, much like that of ancient Peru. Contains exclusive aerial footage.
