Описание к видео Smart Gas Meter, Part 3, Detailed Billing Information

Taking a look at the detailed gas consumption data and a 3rd party gas purchase plan I use.

Not sure if the PG&E on-line billing viewer is down or what, but I've not been able to view my daily gas consumption for about 6 weeks now. Since installing the tank less water heater, my gas bills have been $1.09, $1.10 and $0.00. Looking at my gas meter reading, I think I'll be billed for 2 therms next month or $2.20.

Since I have a home-based business, I was approached by a company called Continuum Energy about 10-12 yrs. ago about their 3rd party gas purchase plan. Basically, they supply my gas to the utility and the utility splits the bill with that supplier. In my case, the supplier gets $0.40/therm and the utility gets $0.70/therm for delivery costs. This is approx. a 20% savings over the PG&E baseline gas rate. If I were on the regular residential plan, I would be paying $10/mo. or $120/yr. in minimum charges. I estimate my gas bill will be under $20 for the entire year.

Some years ago, CenterPoint purchased this part of the Continuum business and I think I ended up under a hybrid billing plan. I pay the lower residential rate but get the no minimum charge of the small commercial plan. So I'm not complaining!
UPDATE: Center Point has now applied their $5 customer charge to existing accounts, so this plan no longer makes sense for low volume customers like me:

Feel free to check out CenterPoint's offerings and see if that might be right for you. They do have a $50 cancellation fee if you cancel the program in the first 12 mos. I figured I would try it for that first year and I'm still signed up:
