[4K] Omaha Zoo Steam Train

Описание к видео [4K] Omaha Zoo Steam Train

Two different steam trains are operated at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. This 30" gauge railroad brings visitors on a unique 1.8 mile circle tour of the numerous animal exhibits.

Union Pacific 119 is a 1968-built Crown replica, based on the original 119 seen at the completion of the Trans-Continental Railroad at Ogden, Utah. This 4-4-0 was the debut engine for the Omaha Zoo Railroad. The 119 continues to operate regularly throughout the week.

For the busier weekends, 0-6-2T 395-104 is also used. The "Riva" was originally built in Austria in 1890. It was donated to the zoo in 1974 to provide larger power that could still handle the steep grades and curves, and has operated regularly since 1976. On select weekends, both steam engines are operated around the loop.
