Systems and Subjects is a book inspired by Ludwig von Bertalanffy’s scientific foundations of systems theory, rooted in life metaphors and coupled with technical interpretations, to approach the mystery of subjectivity in an open and exploratory form.

This video covers the overall aim of the book, which puts systems science into conversations with continental philosophy, with the four main chapters of the book, each inspired by opening discourse between Bertalanffy's systems science and a particular figure of continental philosophy (Heidegger, Freud, Nietzsche, and Hegel).
