Grand Groove is two, singularly known as Big Jacks x DJ Royale - the preternaturally talented duo have charted a course of destruction through the GTA: bringing-down-the-house, floor-filling supercuts; old school party gems dug deep from crates and next-level remixes. Big Jacks was crate-digging calypso with his Dad by the time he was old enough to walk and brings that same enthusiasm to the turntables & various gigs on the radio dial and in the community. (Toronto-born) DJ Royale keeps his technical skills finely honed through radio appearances, club residencies and guest spots at intimate parties throughout the city (to say little of a five year residency!). As a duo, their cult classic "Grand Groove DJs Presents: R&B Flavas" was nominated for mixtape of the year at the 2009 Marc Ecko DJ Stylus Awards, and they continue to innovate, re-create and break down barriers with every mix.
