This is a comparison of the Akai MPC 2500 and Akai MPC 4000 music production centers. Both are equipped with the legendary 16 pad layout, however there are vast differences in capabilities. The MPC 2500 I find to be most useful for travel and portability. The MPC 4000 is more suited for in-studio use and it clearly has more storage and editing capabilities than the 2500.
