The first lecture in the IMEMS Lessons from the Past: Cities, Heritage, Climate Change, Disaster and Risk series.

Kai Weise, the former president of ICOMOS Nepal until 2021 introduces the series with his discussion on the resilience of cultural heritage in the Kathmandu Valley. Weise has worked on architecture, planning and heritage management throughout Asia. After the recent earthquakes in Nepal and Myanmar, he has specialized in reconstruction and heritage protection in post-disaster contexts.
