After transitioning to in-person rehearsals two weeks into the semester, the Chorale was eager to tackle the challenge of mastering J.S. Bach’s “Aus der Tiefen” and Charles Ives’ "Psalm 90." Despite the ongoing requirements to wear masks, the last-minute replacement of three string players as well as being down three tenors due to Covid, the ensemble remained resolute. Even amidst a few tense moments, I couldn’t be more proud of their dedication and resilience. The Chorale truly showcased their spirit and cohesion, turning what could have been setbacks into a profoundly moving and memorable performance.
