The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations, the Hawks, have thwarted a planned ATM bombing in Emalahleni in Mpumalanga. Hawks Spokesperson, Colonel Katlego Mogale, says they received information about the planned bombing. Upon noticing police interception, the suspects opened fire. Police then returned fire, killing five suspects and landing the sixth in hospital.
