I'm stuck in the mental battle of playing the game to hear new songs vs working on videos for songs I've already heard. it doesn't help that I'm so dang busy with work and life that I'm not even a third of the way into chapter 4 😭😭😭

[this song borrows the oboe from FF6 and piano from Trials of Mana, the CT instruments just didn't work at the low pitches]

I first started to work on the battle theme From Now On since it already uses some Chrono Trigger instruments, but I like this one so much more that it ended up being finished first (I hope I can get that other one out by next week). the voices in the original song are so damn beautiful, but I tried my best with the CT choir sample so it still sounds natural...ish. my second favorite part of this song is the deep organ that comes in for the louder parts, and while the organ here isn't quite as commanding it's still awesome
