Fresh gunshots heard in Anantnag as Indian Army vows to avenge killing of its soldiers

Indian Army, J&K Police on Sept 14 resumed operation against the terrorists in Anantnag’s Kokernag. On Sept 12, security forces neutralised 2 terrorists during an encounter in Rajouri’s Narla. An Indian Army Colonel, a Major, and a DSP were killed in a gunfight with terrorists on Sept 13. Col. Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonchak & DSP Humayun Bhat laid down their lives to safeguard Bharat. Speaking to ANI, the father-in-law of Col. Manpreet Singh informed that he got to know about the incident last evening. The family of the late Major Ashish Dhonchak mourned the demise of the Bravehearts. DSP Humayun Bhat laid down his life in military operation in Anantnag after showing indomitable courage. LG Manoj Sinha paid tribute to the slain soldier and stood in solidarity with family members in hour of grief. Indian Army vowed to avenge the killing of its Bravehearts who sacrificed their life during the operation. Meanwhile, some firing shorts have been heard in the forest area of Gadole in Kokernag on Sept 14
