Death March 2018 - Rainbow Lake. Death March 2018 is the 13th video in a series of movies produced from a annual week long backpacking trip in the back country. The movies for 2016, 2017 are still in production and are hoped to be release sometime this or next year.

The annual week long backpacking adventures started 24 year ago in 1996. When video technology became more portable, slide shows and then movies started to be produced. Legend has it, that the local theater even showed the movies for family and fiends to view on the silver screen.

Many of the children of these families have grown up participating their whole lives, and new blood has been joining the adventure each year.

The original name of the adventure was “Real Men Backpacking Trips.” The youth of theses adventures have given the annual activity the name of “Death March.”

The 2018 adventure takes place at the Rainbow Lakes in the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness just west of Walden Colorado. There are many first time Death Marchers this year and this is the first time to the Rainbow Lakes site for all Bro. Speight.
