[Original] Acid Drink (YM2608, OPNA)

Today marks the day I got 909 subscribers. That's the magic number!

In celebration, here's a tune I wrote for the OPNA back in December of 2020 for a Secret Santa-type compo. As you could probably guess, this was made to fulfill a certain request from a user you are paired up with, only to be anonymous (which is obviously what Secret Santa entails).

Someone wanted "chip-flavoured glitch hop groove", and despite the title given to this tune, this is no reference to 'acid' music. I chose the OPNA FM chip as an excuse to abuse the SSG-EG for some sweet dubstep-like sounds. I also abused the ADPCM channel to playback some 909 drum samples (which is why I uploaded this in the first place) + Evil Otto. :)
