Описание к видео Webinar: A Step Forward in Understanding and Treating Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1

Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC) is pleased to present a webinar on myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) in recognition of DM1 Awareness Day on September 15, 2023. While there is no cure for DM1, there is currently exciting research on treatment breakthroughs. Some of which will be discussed in the webinar.

By the end of this webinar, we hope the following questions will be answered:
1. What is myotonic dystrophy?
2. What is the importance of skeletal muscle tissue formation (i.e.,myogenesis) in myotonic dystrophy type 1?
3. What are senescent cells and what is their connection to myotonic dystrophy type 1?
4. What is the future of research on myotonic dystrophy?
5. What is the current clinical trial landscape for myotonic dystrophy?
6. What therapies are in the treatment pipeline?

Speakers:
