1. Thank you for joining me in this how to use Universal Class tutorial video. So, let's get started.

2. For the first step, simply go up to your browser’s address bar, and type in the URL “eodlsok.universalclass.com/register.htm” Then, hit enter on your keyboard.

3. This will take you to the Universal Class registration page. Keep in mind that you must be inside an EODLS library branch to register for an account. Once your account has been created, you can enroll in and attend classes anywhere with internet access.

4. Fill out all of the information, and click “Continue.”

5. Once you have created an account, click “sign in” in the top right. Type in the username and password you just used to create an account, and click “login now.”

6. This will bring you to the “My Classes” page.

7. Click here to go to the Universal Class homepage, here to view the course catalog, here to return to this “My Classes” page, and here to log off.

8. Click here to view your current classes, here to view your completion awards and certificates, here to view your profile, and click here to view your contacts.

9. Click here to add a profile picture, update your address, or withdraw from a class, and click here to visit the Universal Class HelpDesk. You can also contact your local library branch.

10. To browse the classes available, click “Course Catalog.”

11. Here, you can choose to browse a broad area of study, here you can browse class topics, and here you can search for a specific class.

12. Once you find a class that interests you, click on its image.

13. Here you can watch a video about the class, here you can read a description of the class, here you can find the course lessons, and here you will find technical information about the class and any suggested reading.

14. Once you have selected a class to attend, click “Join this Course” at the top, and click “Join this Course” again to confirm your choice.

15. You will now be taken back to the “My Classes” page. Click on the title of your course.

16. Now, you will see Student Course Wizard, to fully enjoy your class, make sure to complete all of the items listed under the “Welcome” section before beginning the course lessons.

17. Here you can view your report card and progress report, here you can view the class forum and emails, here you can view the class syllabus and announcements, and here you can visit the Universal Class HelpDesk.

18. Once you are ready to begin the course lessons, scroll down to this section, and click “Start Lesson.”

19. Once you have finished the reading material for the lesson, scroll down to the bottom of the page to view the assignments and exams. You may also find class netlinks. It is not required to read these links, but they do further explain the topics presented in the lesson.

20. To complete an assignment, type your answer in this section, click this link to attach any added documents, and finally click “Submit this Assignment.”

21. To begin an exam, simply click “Begin Exam.” Keep in mind that you must finish your exam in one sitting, and cannot save it to complete later, So, be sure to check the number of exam questions. If you do not have the time to complete the exam, click “Cancel.”

22. Once you are finished browsing, click “Log Off” at the top of the page.
