The Search for a New Earth

With the estimated sheer size of the universe, it's very likely that a planet with near-identical features to our own could exist somewhere. In the last two decades, we have discovered a huge number of Earth-like planets within merely a few thousand light years of us, let alone within the entire expanse of the universe. As such, humanity has been looking to find the first planet worthy of acting as the second natural human colony. The challenge thereafter will be developing the technology to reach such an Earth-like planet, more commonly referred to as an Earth Analog.

A brief word on my absence...
I've been working on this video for the best part of a month in the background while I've waited for my new laptop to arrive. A couple of weeks ago what I now understand to be a hard drive malfunction caused my laptop to completely die, with no way to recover it. I still may be able to recover some files in the future, but until that time I simply had to start again with my entire video portfolio - and this is my first project. I have been away from YouTube for some time now and have finally got my motivation back, given how long I had to wait. So expect some more videos, and some shorter ones, coming in the next few weeks. I've been quite sick recently, but I'm on the mend now and I hope to get back to my best soon. Thanks for those who stuck by and waited, you're all awesome- and I hope this was enough to act as the first part of an apology!
