Welcome back to another Melbourne Airport video, today we dive into some new and old footage I have accumulated as my home airport over the last few years of filming!

We start the video off with some recent footage which was recorded in August of 2024 from a variety of different angles. Then we transition to some footage taken in 2021 when restrictions began to lift!

Melbourne Airport on a global scale consistently ranks among the top 50 airports for passenger volume, handling over 37 million travelers annually before the pandemic. Domestically, it is the busiest airport in Australia, surpassing others like Sydney and Brisbane in passenger numbers. The airport is home to several major airlines, including Qantas, Virgin Australia, and Jetstar, which operate significant domestic routes and utilize Melbourne as a hub for international flights to Asia and North America.

Melbourne Airport has four main runways, with the primary runway being 3,048 meters long, accommodating large aircraft such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787. In fact, Melbourne is known for its specialized maintenance facilities, including those for the Boeing 787, making it a key location for aircraft servicing in the region. The airport also features a diverse range of amenities, including shopping, dining, and lounges, ensuring a comfortable experience for travelers. With ongoing expansions and improvements, Melbourne Airport is set to enhance its capacity and efficiency, reinforcing its status as a vital hub in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

I filmed this and own all the rights to it, including but not limited to audio and visual material as I recorded this myself with the goal of showcasing the various planes, airlines and different aircraft you can see flying into one of Australia's busiest airports.
