FITPASS, India’s largest fitness membership programme with over 8,100 gyms and fitness centres across 130+ cities, has already driven landmark change. In 2018, Akshay Verma played a key role in reducing the GST on fitness memberships from 28% to 18%, making wellness more achievable for millions.

In 2020, during COVID, he also single-handedly led the move for health insurance to cover access to fitness memberships and services, a breakthrough moment in recognising prevention as healthcare.
