Having enough ammo to do this is actually not that bad 1/3 runs have enough ammo at a minimum. Having 1 brick drop will give you enough ammo to get to the second gatekeeper and at that point you can just grab perma flag and pray you have 2 or so bricks that have dropped inside the portals.
