More John Wyndham science-fiction, once again finding a sci-fi way to take on older, more supernatural ideas. Chocky is a story known to many British people who grew up in the eighties from a very successful children's TV series adaptation - even though the book is not in fact intended for children. Adapting it for younger viewers certainly wasn't difficult, though, and it's a story that can certainly speak to younger audiences since it's about a young boy with an imaginary friend - who may in fact not be imaginary at all...
