Life @ OFF GRID homestead 60 Will the sawmill shed hold? Christmas almost ended with a BOOM!

Описание к видео Life @ OFF GRID homestead 60 Will the sawmill shed hold? Christmas almost ended with a BOOM!

Divine's been bugging me for weeks about doing some bush craft. Today is the day we start!

I've got a plan!

Cheese making day. 12L of 2% milk with 1 L of 33% cream gave me 1.7KG of cheese curds.
They were not squeaky, so I'll have to try again! The process takes almost the whole day!

Christmas day started with chores then we got to play with the dugout.

The day could have ended in tragedy if I had not noticed the jerry can that I had placed way too close to the generator's exhaust! It had melted to the point where it was now leaking. I think if I had not removed it from there that night we would have had an explosion and fire. So glad I noticed before it was too late.

I built the sawmill shed in 2022. Somehow the opening ended up being short of 15 feet when I had planed it to be over 16 feet! Not sure how it happened. Finally I had an idea on how to fix it and I made it happen in half a day! The question is, will it hold?

Thank you for watching!

This is a link to the company that sells the device (we call it laser) that we use for our health and that of our dogs. I've been using it since 2010 and I couldn't see myself living without it (and might not be either!) The healing power of the technology has made its proofs for us more times than I can count.

_______________

I purchased a camera in early 2003 and from then on, kept a regular video diary.

It is with Heart Wide Open, that I share my add-ventures on my journey in Life.

Every week I upload alternatively a video from the past (starting in 2003 while teaching English in Seoul, South Korea) and one from 6 months ago where I live off-grid, in the middle of nowhere, with the love of my life and our animals.

In the recent videos (episodes), you will see me learn to build, pretty much by myself, projects such as a root cellar, a passive solar greenhouse to grow food year round, a shop/garage with a mezzanine and tackle the daily challenges of living so remotely.

In the videos of the past, you will see the path which led me from teaching English in Korea to my current lifestyle. From the Freedom 35 project to Living in Slovakia, from marriage to divorce, you will witness my unique journey which has shaped me into who I am now.

Hope you enjoy!
