Guided by their teacher Chanchal Singha Roy, Government Senior Secondary School, Kadamtala, Middle Andaman, has been a multiple year winner of the Wipro earthian program. Chanchal Singha Roy has been spreading environmental awareness and education among the school’s students, and in coastal communities and their youth. Situated in the biodiversity rich area of Middle Andaman, the school’s students have developed and maintained an organic vegetable garden and a traditional seed bank in their school campus, and have created seasonal bird observation charts, apart from undertaking other activities related to sustainability education.
