In this trader training video Richard takes a look at Market Profile and poor value areas. He looks at examples in Cable (GBPUSD) & Dax. He then shows an example of what is not a poor value area in the Bund. What are they? What do they mean? How do you trade around them:

1. Visually quite obvious (which you can see on the chart)
2. Flat edged profile in terms of TPO (Time Price Opportunity) and volume - typically quite wide
3. Not to be confused with a trend day
4. Value has not been accepted anywhere indicating auction hasn’t finished in that area - more
Trade likely to be done in that area
5. Shows a lack of conviction on the day of creation
6. Implication: reactive trade from edges of value due to limited reference points to trade from
