Hampi is a must see place in India, as much as world-famous Taj Mahal or Jaipur palaces. You can spend many days visiting Hampi, and 3 days are merely enough. You can always hire a local guide to see the place, but we explored the area mostly on foot, with the help of guide books, and it's the best destination for walking, hiking and bouldering.
