If you're thinking of buying the Mitsubishi Electric MSZ AP Wall Mount, what's this first before you make that decision? The MSZ AP is their basic entry-level wall mount, but it does come with a few extra features that some of the competitors don't offer. Right, firstly, there are seven variants that can be put on a Multi-Split. A 1.5, a 2.5, a 3.5, a 42, a 50, a 60 and a 70. It goes on and on and on. Mitsi Electric have basically given a full range of sizes for the M-Series Multi-Split range. Right, let's go through some of the features. The features are pollen filter, a standard filter, which this is quite an entry-level requirement on most systems now. It has up and down louvers like most AC units, but it also has motorized side-to-side features with a vane, which several units do not offer. It's a standard unit, it comes in white only. It is simple to take apart for us maintenance engineers. Side panels either side, it all comes off. Fan scrollers are easily available. It's a nice, simple, robust machine. Let's look at the energy on these units. The COP ranges from 3.82 for their bigger units and a 4.17 for their smaller units. It's a mid-range COP. It's okay, it's pretty good. Every kilowatt of energy that goes in, you get between 3.8 and 4.2 out. It ain't bad at all. For an entry-level product, this is one of my favorites. It doesn't tend to go wrong unless we've done something wrong on installation. Right, where would we install this unit? Bedrooms, perfect. The MSZ-AP1520 is my perfect favorite. We call it the baby AP because it is tiny with a width of just under 750 mil. Where else would you put this unit? You could pretty put it much anywhere. If you're happy with a standard looking AC unit downstairs in your living room, the 60 and the 70 are our personal favorites, but it is a standard looking unit. All the other units can be put in commercial premises, bedrooms, anywhere really, any application. It's a very good, simple, robust unit. Right, the sound of this unit. The two smaller units do start at 22 decibels, the mid-range do start at 19. 19 to 40 decibels is what I want to set this at. Again, I say this all the time, the decibels don't mean a lot with warm amps and air conditioning because they're all between 19 and 40 decibels. What does count is how these units are built. Flimsy plastics are prone to cracking. You're sleeping at night and you hear the thing cracking, doesn't matter what decibels you're running at, you're going to hear it. The AP doesn't fall under that category. The simple design, the thickness of the plastic allows the system to be a perfect contender for any bedroom.
