Tax experts are suggesting that the newly introduced VAT withholding policy poses a challenge to business owners who may find it complicated leading to default.

A discourse with selected Top 100 mid-sized companies this morning, discussed tax policies set out in the 2018/19 budget, in particular the VAT amendment bill 2018.

Under the tax proposal, designated persons will be required to withhold 50% of the VAT charged on payments for taxable supplies.
