This recording was meant to be used for the 1941 film Life Begins for Andy Hardy, but that film ultimately became her first one for MGM without any major musical numbers. Written in 1898, this solemn tune quickly became loved by those of the Catholic faith. Music by Ethelbert Nevin (1862 - 1901) with text by Robert Cameron Rogers (1862 - 1912).

Also: Judy was born Episcopalian, and was not a Catholic :)
