Pickups are a huge part of the voice of your electric guitar. If you want to change the sound of an instrument you own, but don't want to go out and buy a new guitar, swapping pickups is probably the most popular modification you can do. The trouble is that most aftermarket pickups can cost a fortune, and this is a big risk to take when you aren't sure if you will truly love them or not. Craig Vineham from Newfoundland, Canada is an exception to this rule, as he winds amazing sounding pickups that won't cost you a fortune. His Sweet V 59 PAF style pickups are among the best PAF styles that Lucas has personally tried regardless of price.

In Lucas's specific case he tends to favour single coils, and humbuckers that have single coil qualities.
