Console Brook board adapter by Lemony Vengeance, an easy console/PC input for a TAITO Vewlix!

This is a super convenient drop-in adapter for using a Brook board in a TAITO Vewlix. It drops in-line with the existing cabinet harness, so you can swap easily between arcade and console/PC hardware. While one can figure out how to wire up console/PC to a cab pretty easily, there's something beautiful about the convenience of a quality-made harness that requires no work to install, as well as no effort to switch. I think the only real question about hooking this up is the orientation of the connector, but you can look up the color coding of the wire to determine the correct orientation.

I'll mainly be using mine for the Switch, as it seems to be a great shmup platform these days, but you are able to use pretty much any console, and due to cross-compatibility, PC with this harness/board. There are extra terminals for things like PS button, home button, etc. I don't have any extra button boards for my Vewlix and am not really intending to get any, but there are some neat mods that people have done for them; you can map those extra buttons there. iirc someone made a Switch dock for on the CP as well, pretty cool!

Vewlixes are incredibly versatile, light, and generally good looking; it's not the guaranteed best overall cab type or anything, but with as prolific as they are, there's a lot of support for them, and a lot you can do easily. There's a really large community of private owners to get support and advice from. Definitely while deciding if owning a cab is for you or not, do a lot of research in advance! The ease of using a cab like this to its fullest potential is easier than you'd think. Hope to see some new faces in the hobby!
