ROOM RENOVATION Dutch 1900s house

Normally I make wooden jewelry, but as it is cold right now and I just moved, I decided to take on something a bit bigger.


By sharing this video I hope to inspire you to take on a creative building project yourself, and to show you that... if I can do it, you can do it too!


I had so much fun doing this renovation. Learned tons of stuff about demolishing and building in a 1900s house like this. Took out 5 floors that were put on top of each other, gave everything a fresh coat of paint and refreshed the wood work as it had been damaged at some spots. And got rid of a whole lot of junk to create a clean space to live and honour the original design of the room.
It was a true transformation. I learned from this renovation that - however cheesy - patience, confidence, safety and hard work are key to getting good results. And how important and satisfying the process of finding solutions to problems is! It's all about the right mindset, and a reasonable planning to get you started.
