Santana Well All Right 1978 (Enhanced)

Описание к видео Santana Well All Right 1978 (Enhanced)

Well Alright is performed live by Santana in 1978. The Buddy Holly cover is from his tenth studio album Inner Secrets, released in 1978. Woodstock 50 and Bethel Woods Center Celebration will headline Santana on both competing Woodstock 50th anniversary events in August 2019.

Santana signed with Columbia Records after their historic 1969 Woodstock performance. Michael Lang, the organizer of that original festival, organized Woodstock 50. Live music will take place at a larger site in Watkins Glen, New York. Dead and Company, John Fogerty, Santana, John Sebastian, Country Joe Mcdonald, Canned Heat and Hot Tuna – all acts that took part in the 1969 festival – are all on the lineup for Woodstock 50. Santana, who fits squarely in the old and known quadrant, will play on the first day.

The following day, Santana will perform alongside the Doobie Brothers at the other event, called the Bethel Woods Season of Song & Celebration Anniversary Weekend, which will be held nearly three hours southeast at the original festival site in Bethel Woods, New York. The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts will offer a pared-down lineup that seems to be more of a nostalgic tribute to Woodstock’s golden anniversary. Source: Vanity Fair

Well All Right is Inner Secret's first track on side two. Santana's cover of the 1958 Buddy Holly song was most popularized by Blind Faith on their 1969 self-titled and only studio album.
