[Oja in the Metaverse] The oja is a sacred musical instrument peculiar to the Igbo people of Nigeria, it’s sometimes called the ‘the Igbo talking flute’. Unfortunately, the disinterest in aspects of some Igbo cultural practices such as the Igbo language has caused a decline in the growth of the spiritual dimensions of traditional igbo music which the oja instrument is a major part off. We travel on an immersive journey to unravel the mysteries of the oja and how it can be inculturated into Morden music.
