Asset Management Series: ISO55k - CIGRE TB 787: Implementation in Electric Utilities

The webinar series covers topics of asset management in asset and capital intensive industries. An overview of the ISO55000 series of standards was provided, together with its application in industry. Example artefacts that ISO55k requires is shown in order to assist industries that are intending to embark on this journey. A few key concepts of the application of a risk-based approach is shared, such as planning for maintenance, growth/opportunity, asset renewal and asset operations.

This webinar is based on the work of CIGRE TB 787, produced by WG C1.34. It will cover the application of AM systems in electric utilities. It explains the mandatory shall statements, demonstrates processes, tools and systems and gives case studies of 3 utilities. It is presented by two members of CIGRE WG C1.34, Prince Moyo and Tebogo Mokwana, both of ESKOM.
