Marzieh Fadaee's talk at the Transformers at Work workshop on state-of-the-art Deep Learning for NLP and Search hosted and organized by Zeta Alpha at the Startup Village next to Science Park, Amsterdam.

Marzieh Fadaee is the Research Lead at Zeta Alpha Vector, where she carries out research in neural Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing. Previously, Marzieh obtained her PhD with the Information and Language Processing Systems (formerly ILPS, currently the IR Lab and Language Technology Lab from the University of Amsterdam), in the fields of language and machine translation.

In her talk, she laid down key concepts such as dense retrieval, re-ranking, why they're important, and how these methods are applied to the search technology at Zeta Alpha.
