Buying a 30 year old W140 Mercedes....sight unseen!

The Mercedes-Benz W140 series of the venerable S-Class was arguably the last of the over engineered, spare no expence models to come out of Stuttgart. It reportedly cost the company $1 Billion to develop with every single bit of technology at the time shoved into the W140.

This video is a 3 month ownership report on my 1992 400SEL which I bought from an auction. Amongst the photos of the listing was a service manual that had been stamped until about a year or so ago at 350,000 kms. Pretty impressive I have to say. As well as the service book were a stack of receipts for work dating back to the mid to late 2000's.
