In this instalment we look at the start of proceedings to close no less than 17 transmitter sites across the UK as part of a restructure and cost saving exercise by UK radio broadcaster TalkSport.

Ofcom appears to back the plans and has outlined the process for the site closures after an initial 4 shut down.

We also look at the response from Ofcom about the Absolute Radio shut down. Is this the end of AM broadcast radio in the UK?
