Pubs of London: Anchor & Hope Clapton Hackney E5.
A social history speaking to a London pub landlord The Anchor and Hope is a picturesque London pub on the River Lea in Clapton, Hackney East London, just across the river from Walthamstow Marshes.

As many of its sister pubs along the river have closed down over the years, only The Anchor and Hope and The Princess of Wales are still standing, serving their communities. Join the landlord Simon as he gives a social history of this beloved local, speaks about real ale and remembers pubs that have gone like the Beehive, The Ship Aground and The Robin Hood Tavern.
