This work by Kenneth and Kirsten Lampl was commissioned for the 2018 Gondwana National Choir School. Its lyrics, written by the composers, are based on a poem, "Annette", written by Australian writer Robert Richardson. The words serve as a sorrowful goodbye to a loved one, embodying the grief of loss and the beauty of the life they lived.

Premiered as part of 2018's National Choral School at the Sir John Clancy Auditorium by Gondwana Voices, Gondwana Novus, and Junior Gondwana, conducted by Lyn Williams.
